We drive a rough road to Sagada in which the town lays at a height from 1,480 meters. We visit the Weaving and Souvenirs store. Here you can see how the traditional materials are woven by hand. We visit the caves of Sagada. Over centuries the dead have been buried here often in sitting position. We see thousands of open coffins a chilling experience. Of course we do not collect some bones as a respect for the dead people. On other places we see the coffins hanging on the mountain walls. This privilege is only given to some. If the weather allows it, then we make a 20 minutes walk through the caves to the Bokong Waterfalls. We stay for an overnight in Mapiyaaw Sagada Pension. It’s surrounded with a beautiful garden and mysterious rock formations. Over night we stay in Mount Data Hotel. |
