adventure.

PAGSANJAN: In the quaint town of Pagsanjan, in Laguna, the star attraction is the Pagsanjan Rapids and Falls, a series of 14 rapids punctuated by mini waterfalls en route to the main falls. |

We leave at 7 a.m. and a 3-hour drive brings us to the majestic Pagsanjan waterfalls. These waterfalls which measure 101 kilometers south of Manila in the Bumungan River belong to the top attractions of the Philippines. The town Pagsanjan has a beautiful antique city gate and the old church is worthwhile to look at. |

Two skilful boat men (banceros) paddle the colorful canoe upstream over the Bumungan- River, through the tropical forest with its magnificent flora and fauna and arriving at the magnificent Pangsanjan falls. This is a day of real adventure. Take care and have an extra pair of clothes with you, it’s difficult to stay dry during our adventurous tour. The falls are originally named "Magdapio Falls". Everywhere you go you will meet the children who are playing. |

The terrain becomes wilder and more picturesque as one negotiates the waterway, with the river flanked by towering cliffs lush with vegetation. |

At the top, the banceros will take you under the falls on a bamboo raft. From here, you let the water do the work. The trip downstream is fast and very exhilarating. Scenes of Francis Ford Coppola’s epic Vietnam War movie Apocalypse Now was filmed along this stretch of river and few relics from the movie can still be seen along the banks as you shoot downstream. |

Everywhere were you go you can see the people enjoying themselves in the water. This is an adventures day that you will really enjoy. We drive back to Angeles City or Manila. |
